Learn to Code - iOS 10 Course

What is this project?

I've created an online course to teach you how to code. This online course will be a series of videos that you can watch any time, any where.

We will code using Apple's new programming language, Swift 3, and you'll be making apps in no time! In this course I will walk you through how to make 10 different apps that you can put on your iPhone, iPod, and iPad, and with each app you'll learn new skills such as:

- Recording audio with the microphone

- Taking pictures with the camera

- Using the GPS

- Working with Bluetooth

- Accessing the accelerometer

- Connecting with Facebook and Twitter

- Creating a Snapchat clone with Firebase

Once you've mastered all of these skills you'll be able to make your own apps and share them with your family and friends. In the course I will also teach you how to upload your apps to the App Store so you can share them with the world.

Will you cover what's new in iOS 10?

Yes! If you are familiar with iOS 8 or 9, this course will be a great way to get caught up on what's new in iOS 10. I will dive into:

- SiriKit

- iMessage Apps

- Rich Notifications

- And more!

What makes you a great teacher?

I am a self-taught programmer, so I know what it feels like to be a n00b :) When I was trying to learn how to make apps, I got really sick of incomplete YouTube videos and outdated tutorials. It took me years to figure out all this app stuff, but eventually I did it. After working full time as an app developer for a few years, I decided to get into teaching.
